This travel app will help you avoid sneaky airline charges
AIRLINE fees fluctuate based on real-time calculations of supply and demand, but travelers can often find it exasperating, especially if flying often.
Hopper, a nifty travel app, will tell you the best time to buy flights and help you evade hidden fees when making bookings.
All you need to do is look up the dates you plan to fly, and the app will send through push notifications to inform you of how prices are changing as well as recommend the best time to book those flights.
The app also breaks down additional costs like carry-on, checked bags, and seat selections so that users will know exactly what they’re paying for with each booking.
The best part is that you can book those flights directly through the app; your passenger and payment info can be saved in advance so that the booking process will take you just a few taps and swipes.

According to Business Insider, Hopper is now selling up to US$1 million in flights each day, and are able to predict prices of flights with a 95 percent accuracy.
CEO Frederic Lalonde told the publication, “We identify pockets of shopping [behavior] before [airline prices] react.”
Last year, Google Flights underwent an update that allows it to tell travelers when airline prices are about to change. The new feature can predict airfare changes and help you land a better deal overall.
When you’re researching flight prices, Google will notify you when the current fare will change, so you’ll know how much you stand to lose (or gain) if you don’t book the flight right away.
