The Bali Dynasty Resort caters to travelers who like Kuta beach but prefer a more family-friendly vibe: they get comfortable accommodations within walking distance of Discovery Mall, Waterbom and the Bali Slingshot.
Rates depend on the season – expect to pay between USD $132 to $195 for a Deluxe room.
Cafe Piazza at the lower ground level serves an eclectic breakfast buffet and light meals for the rest of the day.
The Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant specializes in Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine, while Gracie Kelly's (purported to be Bali’s original Irish pub) serves home-cooked traditional dishes from Ireland – from Beef and Guinness Pie to Dublin Coddle.
The Queens of India serves Indian cuisine at the resort’s main entrance. SEN5ES serves a breakfast buffet and a pan-Asian selection, while H2O serves themed buffets. Finally, D Lounge and the Sunset Bar provide great places to while away the evenings over a drink or three.

Executive Suite: the most capacious room category at 76 sq. m., these rooms have a small kitchenette with fridge, water dispenser, and microwave, oven. Three sofas in the room can be converted into kids’ beds.
Three swimming pools keep guests of all ages occupied. Grownups will love the spa and exercise room. The resort provides for the younger set, with a playground, treehouse, an “Enchanted Garden” kids’ club that keeps the young ones occupied with daily programs, and a Kids Water Fun Zone at the southern side of the kids pool.
For tours beyond Kuta, the resort offers a Tour & Information Center for guests’ use. The Dynasty Bali itself is conveniently located if you want to see the rest of Kuta on foot – the beach is only five minutes’ walk away (the resort is not a beachfront locale), as are the Discovery Centre Mall and Waterbom.
The average family visiting Bali will find most of their needs met by the Dynasty Bali Resort, a four-star establishment in Tuban, South Kuta. The Dynasty Bali serves a more sedate crowd than one might expect of Kuta, what with its family-friendly rooms and its amenities aimed at kids.
But adults need not feel left out; the Dynasty Bali claims to manage a “subtle but effective division between the couple and family market”, and it largely works out – the Gracie Kelly’s pub and spa, among others, meet the needs of many visiting grownups, while coexisting with a kids’ waterslide and a fun-filled kids’ club.
The rooms in the Dynasty Bali are done up in Late Balinese style, with modern artwork and an ample supply of wood finish. Garden-facing ground floor rooms provide direct access from the room to the premises.
The location is one of the resort’s most winning traits: while access to Kuta Beach requires a five-minute walk through a back gateway and a grassy path, the front of the resort leads out to Jalan Kartika and nearby attractions, including the Discovery Shopping Centre, Waterbom, and the Bali Slingshot.
"We stayed at Bali Dynasty from 4May to 14May 2012. Absolutely 10/10 for everything. The kids (11,8,7), had an absolute ball. the kids club was really fun for them. The water slide and water fun park in the resort kept them entertained for hours on end. We stayed in a family pool view room. We were initially booked in to a kids suite, but ungraded for $15US per night to the familypool view. We were 6mts from the pool. While hubby and i were sipping G&T's on the balcony of our room, we were keeping an eye on the kids. The staff went out of their way for just about anything. Fantastic fantastic fantastic." FredRickles, Padstow, UK
"We initially booked a pool view room but found it a little noisy, it was no trouble to the staff to transfer us to a lovely quiet garden view room which was perfect. we could enjoy being with our grandchildren in the pool and restaraunts and also enjoy the peace quiet of being alone. the restaraunts and food were excellent and the pools etc fabulas family fun ( especially when my grandson persuaded me to sit under the giant bucket and go down the water slide!!) hopefully we will enjoy more family holidays together...thank you for helping make this such a great experience!" "I arrived at the Dynasty Bali expecting just a place to crash in between jaunts across Bali. I realized later how much more there was to the place. From its open-air lobby to the cozy ‘Irish’ pub to the garden view rooms to the easy access to both beach and Jalan Kartika, it was a wonderful experience in its own right, if you don't mind lots of kids and no Internet access in the rooms. (Wi-fi access is available at the lobby.)" Alexandro Maraquez, Saville
