Panglao Island in the Philippines is a popular diving and watersports destination, and the Bohol Beach Club is in the perfect position to take advantage: this sprawling 65-hectare property stretches along a 1.5 km stretch of white-sand beach in Barrio Bolod, allowing guests instant access to the area’s dive spots. This section of beach is known as the widest, whitest stretch in Panglao.
The Beach Club has 168 guestrooms in total. Apart from a number of garden and pool view bungalow-style accommodations, the suites, beach view bungalows, and standard rooms offer wide sea views.
Accommodations vary – the easternmost units count among the older units, and have a rustic feel. The more recently-refurbished suites, on the other hand, meet international standards of luxury, if the view of the sea from their verandahs don’t win you over.
Three large swimming pools are located throughout the length of the resort; the easternmost pool is a large, deep, lagoon-shaped swimming area that often serves as a practice dive area for learning divers. The resort’s restaurants are also located close to these pools – for a filling dinner buffet experience, go to the Taclobo restaurant at the western end of the resort.
Three large swimming pools are located within the property – the easternmost pool has a maximum depth of seven feet, permitting its use for diving lessons; the westernmost pool is half the size of an Olympic-size pool.
The resort’s watersports include scuba diving, snorkeling and glass-bottom boat tours, all of which are provided by Club AquaSports Inc.
For more sedentary guests, the resort’s game room includes a billiard table, a ping-pong table, a mahjong table, and an air-conditioned karaoke room.

"The place is huge and impressive, albeit old and needs a few refurbishing. The staff are all friendly. The rooms are huge! The beach and hammock are the ideal relaxing vacation for me and my kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi. By late afternoon, we got ourselves busy collecting starfish and putting them all in a row (making sure they stay under water by the weeds where they feed on)." - TripAdvisor
“It is my second time of staying at Bohol Beach Club and I am still very satisfied in my stay here. Beach is great and room is very big. Service is great and beacuase there are 3 pools, you can choose which pool you want to swim in. There are 2 restaurants to you can also pick what food you want to eat. Value for money is also superb. Because the place is big, a lot bigger than any other resorts nearby, you can choose where to stay and roam around.” - Agoda
“We stayed 3 nights there for vacation. We have booked super garden view but when we arrived, it was upgraded to beachfront! All the staff we met were friendly and supportive. Room was quite clean (didn’t have ants issues at all as we heard concerned). My friend and I had great fun here. Next time when I come to Bohol, definitely I would choose to stay in this hotel again. P.S. We tried mango shakes all over Panglao, the one in this hotel is the best.” - HotelTravel.com
