La Residence Hue is a grand, opulent hotel set in a restored art deco building dating back to the 1930s. Its nautical flourishes are said to be hallmarks of its particular school of architecture, ‘Streamline Moderne’. It was once the home of the French Colonial Governor.

The guest rooms are stylish and reflect the building’s era, with sumptuous fabrics and art deco style furnishings. Most rooms have amazing views over Hue’s Perfume River, looking out to the imperial citadel. Complimentary Wi-Fi and a balcony or terrace are among the room inclusions.

Fine dining and premium spirits and wines can be found at the restaurant’s drinking and dining outlets, which are decadent and character-filled along with the rest of the hotel’s public spaces. Fine wines and cocktails at Le Gouverneur, and creative, gourmet meals at La Perfum restaurant using the best of local produce and deluxe gourmet ingredients are a highlight.

The hotel can play host to conference groups and even arrange and hold weddings. It also offers a range of tailor made tours from half day excursions to two day trips.

The beautiful setting, unique art deco building, historical interiors and the way the hotel seamlessly blends European influence with the strong Vietnamese heritage of Hue make it a highly memorable place to stay.

Customer Reviews

"I thought that this hotel was excellent. Rooms were a great size with decent bed and pillows. We had a room facing the river with a huge sun deck. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The pool area was a welcome relief from the hot Hue weather." Leigh H., Melbourne

This stylish art deco hotel is tastefully decorated from the lobby to the rooms in period style. Despite the luxury surroundings, there is nothing stuffy about this place - very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff (some with a great sense of humour after you get to know them a bit)." Gary Ganesha, Sydney, Australia

"Lovely Art Deco meets French Colonial building in the heart of Hue. Could not fault this establishment; the rooms are large, immaculate and comfortable, most with views to the Perfume River. The pool has to be one of the best hotel pools in the world with deep, deep cool water, infinity edges, views to the sumptuous gardens and river and attentive bar service." Johnno L., Brisbane, Australia
