"Immaculate hotel in every aspect: flawless service, great décor, comfy rooms, cheery and enthusiastic staff... The environment was tremendously tranquil with the noise minimized to only the peaceful sound of the river nearby. The room is polished, sizable, endowed with magical and breath taking river-view. The foods were brilliant from the decoration to the tastes. Our reposeful night at this supreme hotel was spent with such an imposing experience. Highly recommended!" Jesus T, Berlin, Germany
"The Shangri-La Bangkok completely exceeded my expectations. My husband and I have stayed in many Shangri-La hotels and this one is up there with the best. We had a deluxe river view room on the 14th floor with access to the wonderful Horizon Club on the 24th floor. After reading previous reviews I was worried that we hadn't booked into the Krungthep Wing but after seeing both wings we were not disappointed.
The location of the hotel is fabulous and the river rooms are wonderful, comfortable and clean. It was very hot over our 3 days in Bangkok and the pool area was a fantastic retreat from the heat. The pool is beautiful, the lounge chairs are so comfortable and the pool service is great. We loved it. The Horizon Club was fantastic. We had breakfast there every morning which was exceptional, as well as pre-dinner drinks and nibbles at night, the service in the Horizon Club is wonderful." ElMelbourne, Melbourne, Australia
"I have visited Bangkok many times for business, but this was the first time for pleasure. My wife was with me, so I wanted the hotel and room to be really nice. So I decided on the Shangri La hotel, a horizon club room. It turned out to be a really good choice because the room was exquisite. It was on the 33rd floor, overlooking the river. It was actually a suite with a separate sitting area. Everything about the room was fantastic. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the bathroom was large and beautiful, with a large separate shower. The decoration was beautiful and the lighting dramatic. My wife still talks about that room. The club lounge had simple, but excellent breakfasts and it was a delight to sit there and look out on the city from so high up. The staff were so friendly and kind. I really appreciate great service when I travel, and I have never experienced better. I only hope that I have the opportunity to stay here again." Toppsmark
