"I chose this hotel because I stayed some time ago in the Peninsula in Hong Kong. Although quite different in style, this Bangkok Peninsula offers an excellent experience. There is a good view over the river from the hotel rooms. The swimming pool area, and restaurant right alongside the river are very good. But what really stands out in this place is the Spa. Absolutely incredible and well worthwhile. Attention and service are top level. I would definitively come back here if visiting Bangkok again." Roxo, Buenes Aires, Brasil
"Stayed two nights in transit on my way to Australia - wish it could have been longer. I have stayed at the property a few years ago and am happy to report it is still the best in Bangkok. Staff is attentive and leave no absence of details in service. The location provides a peaceful retreat to often hectic Bangkok yet the frequent running of the river boats makes reaching the other side / BTS station a breeze.
Airport transportation was swift and comfortable (BMW 7 series) and even included wifi to check email, etc on the way to the hotel. Upon arrival, i was given an early in-room check-in (arrived at 8am) which was most appreciated. The hotel also had provided a continental breakfast set-up in my room in anticipation of an easy and perfectly portioned breakfast to start the day. The rooms have all the bells and whistles expected of a Pen hotel; comfortable, clean and always present is the highest in quality. The pool is a wonderful way to spend a day under a ceiling-fan Sala while reading a book or using the hotel wifi provided free at poolside.
The Gym and Spa are well equipped. Although the fitness center was being refurbished during my brief stay, the alternate location, near enough to the Spa, was more than suitable. I had the facility all to myself on both occasions in the evening. Thai restaurant is excellent as is the main restaurant where an excellent breakfast buffet and service is presented. Simply stated, the elegant and sophisticated feel of the property, combined with the fine level of Peninsula brand service makes this still the place to stay whenever one would be in need of luxury accommodations in Bangkok."
