Villa Blubambu

A peaceful collection of three luxury villas offering high value for money in Seminyak, one of Bali’s most up-market spa and shopping destinations. In and around the garden which envelop the Guesthouses are a number of large trees and plants like bamboo, Balinese japun tree, palm and mango trees and banana plants, etc. The subtle lightning throughout the garden gives it a fairy tale feeling in the evening.

Guesthouses from USD $115 in low season to USD $140 per night high season. Minimum stay 2 nights in low season, 3 nights in high season.

Guests enjoy daily breakfast in the garden. The menu varies depending on the fruit and produce available in season. For lunch and dinner, an extensive selection of restaurants is on offer in Seminyak and Ubud areas.

3 Guesthouses are equipped with air conditioning and fans, leaving you plenty of leeway in climate control. They also have 32-inch flat-screen TVs, king-sized beds, private open-air showers and shaded terraces with access to one of the swimming pools.

Guests have access to a full roster of facilities and amenities, including daily breakfast in the garden. An hour-long in-room massage cost only USD $9 as of 2012.

Villa Blubambu gardens have swimming pools and a Jacuzzi, and the property is only a five-minute walk from the Seminyak’s beaches. Tourists in Bali come to Seminyak for the exclusive spa treatments and shopping opportunities.

Peaceful gardens, meticulous service and tranquil villas – and all for prices well below what you would expect from one of Bali’s more expensive neighborhoods. It’s no surprise that so many satisfied guests rave about and return to this Seminyak hideaway.

The tropical garden is the centerpiece of Villa Blubambu and doubles as guests’ meeting point for breakfast. It’s laid out on an open plan but still fosters a private atmosphere thanks to its well-placed floral arrangements and trees. The freshwater pond is stocked with fish.

There are two swimming pools on the property, and an Indonesian bale (something like a gazebo) for massages or simply admiring the view. Daybeds, lounges and a wooden hammock also populate the garden. The property is centrally located in Seminyak, but it’s off the beach and can therefore offer highly competitive rates in a neighborhood that set the standard for an up-market Balinese getaway.

The property doesn’t open up right on the beach, but guests are only a five-minute walk away. Seminyak’s beaches are a bit quieter than those in Kuta, especially during the day when tourists are out exploring other neighborhoods.

In the past ten years, this area has grown from a (some would say sleepy) backwater to the spa and upscale shopping capital of Bali. For those who plan on indulging in either of these activities, this is the place to be based.

Customer Reviews

“Beautiful gardens, excellent accommodation and breakfast, great staff and friendly owner Mathieu. Although Villa Blubambu seems more the place to stay for honeymooners or couples, they were very accommodating when we requested an extra bed for our young daughter. ” ShazzaNDave, Darwin, Australia

“As soon as we entered into the tropical garden oasis that is the grounds, we were blown away by the beauty surrounding us…Breakfast was amazing – as much food as you wanted it seemed, and the best fruit plate of our 5 stop honeymoon!” Jemma23071983, Essex, United Kingdom

“When you've seen the busy streets of Kuta and Seminyak and had a long day, coming back to this oasis located right in the heart of the buzz is bliss. It offers lots of privacy and you can even wake up to the birds chirping! It's a good change from the usual hotels we stay in.” Kitying, Singapore
