"In a quiet small street in a central location, the buildings (2) of them are beautifully maintained; the staff are fantastic and took care of us well. When I first arrived we were taken from the reception (where also breakfast and the pool is) to the second building and I thought oh no what a shame not to be in the same place but really this is 200 m and not at all a problem. The room was really spacious - the bed was giant enough space for the 3 of us (our child) without paying any extra for this.
The place is clean and is very quiet. The pool is small but it is obvious from the web site there is nothing hidden so it was within our expectation. On the second day my husband cut his toe in the pool and 3 minutes later without asking the staff had been to the pharmacy for plasters and antiseptic cream - excellent service. Breakfast is generous (would have like fresh juices) but the noodle soups, eggs plenty to choose from and the tea was brewed fresh and constantly served to you. Luang Prabang is stunning and the hotel made the trip perfect. I will come again." Holiday_OCD, Singapore
"The Villa Santi is a boutique hotel in the oldest part of Luang Prabang. A century old royal mansion that belongs to the King’s daughter has been renovated into 20 rooms all with a mix of new and old. Antiques are on display throughout, and the furniture of the 6 rooms in the main building is all different.
Well located, there were easily 30 excellent restaurants from across the street to a 10 minute walk away. The riverfront is about a block away; The Bamboo bridge and night market both 10 minutes away. About 200 monks walk in front of the hotel from 6 am on their daily parade to collect alms and rice from the residents.
We upgraded to the main building rooms. It was well worth it but not necessary if you don't want to spend the money. The rooms were enormous, Tub and shower in each. The small pool and restaurant are in the main building. There are many Wats and important Unesco sites in walking distance." Rob Chlery, Mississauga, Canada
